VerMaas Construction started in 1960 as a Lincoln-based construction company, started by John D VerMaas as a home framing company. In the last 4+ decades VerMaas Company has grown from a small residential home builder and remodeler to a commercial office development company with a portfolio of over 110 facilities in 13 Midwest states. The Majority of these facilities were Build to Suit’s for various Federal, State, and Local Agencies, like the United States Postal Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, The Veterans Administration, and the Social Security Administration.

Gary VerMaas began working for VerMaas Construction in 1985 as a laborer. He has steadily increased his responsibilities with the company and is now President and Co-owner. Mr. VerMaas is also active in several local trade and charitable organizations.

In 2008, VerMaas Construction became a leader in the local construction industry by becoming one of the first accredited company’s in the U.S. to earn the United States Green Builders Council-Accredited Green Builder Designation, and has completed LEED Certified, Silver, and Gold rated projects. VerMaas Construction has 11 full time employees on staff in their headquarters located in Southwest Lincoln.
